Have you ever felt that no-one else knows anything?

Do you ever wonder if there is any common sense out there?

Do you feel like saying NO every time someone walks in the door?

Well, I?ve had one of them weeks. One of the times that I want to say ?NO? as my first response, even if the answer is ?YES?…

It culminated with today being such a ?NO? day. Clients at my normal day job coming into the room i am in with other clients, asking for answers to the most stupid of questions… especially when the said clients have been with us for at least 6 months and know the system well enough.

- NO
?but how do I..?
- Go to the Library
?grumble grumble, never had to do that before?
- Yes you have it?s always been that way.

?Ady, can you look at my camera? It putting strange histogram things and other information over the screen when I review a picture…?
- OK.
?I?ll bring it to you later?
- Thankfully that was a 2 minute job, just to explore the controls and change one setting.

?Ady, can I ask you…?
- NO
?but I only…?
- NO
?oh, but…?
- WHAT?
?are you coming into work tomorrow??
- NO
?why not??
- because I work at home tomorrow.
?Oh, that not fair, I need your skills…?
- I shrug shoulders…
- Oh well, nothing I can do there…

And that was just three conversations today… It got me frustrated and annoyed.

Think the real problem for me is that, and I hate blowing my trumpet, I *do* know a lot.

Yes, I can do things…

But hey, I *cannot* sort out an incorrect installation, reset a password, speed up the network, unblock a web site… I?m
1) not paid to do that, and
2) I do not have the permissions…

I feel like I am doing the work of three people at times, and that is on a quiet day.

Could someone please make me feel more appreciated rather than used?
